- Promoting the enjoyment of Northside Brooklyn, both on Bedford Avenue and beyond. Walks invites the community to come together, shop, stroll, socialize and enjoy activities in an area unobstructed by traffic. Hosted by Neighbors Allied for Good Growth and the L magazine, this event is not to be missed. Activities will include: free community classes from the YMCA, local art from the Gallery Association, Local artist creating chalk art for the children, Urban gardening classes from the North Brooklyn CSA, and so much more! For three consecutive Sundays, we are providing the public with endless activities such as salsa and break dancing classes, staging for park cleanup, various art programs and exhibits, as well as acoustic music. So please come and enjoy the summer with us on July 19th, July 26th, and August 2nd, you will not be disappointed!
